Cogniva has new owners

Gatineau, Quebec (September 22, 2021)

Cogniva Information Solutions is excited to announce a change in ownership. Craig Eby (CTO - with Cogniva since 2005) and Stéphane Huppé (COO - with Cogniva since April 2018) have acquired the company. They bring more than 30 years of experience in information management and software development. The former owner, Yves Marleau, is handing over the reins of the company he founded more than 16 years ago in order to begin a transition to retirement in a few years. He will accompany the new owners over the next two years as VP Business Development to ensure a smooth transition.

Cogniva develops the C3 software that provides organizations and their users with a simple, easy-to-use metadata tagging and classification process, while ensuring compliance with organizational policies. The company has many customers in Canada and Europe and has established strong partnerships on both sides of the Atlantic to promote, distribute, and implement our software and provide Cogniva's renowned service.

The company's head office remains at the same address, 228 Saint-Joseph Boulevard in Gatineau, Quebec. The entire team continues to work hard to shortly offer existing and new customers version 6.0 of C3. This new version of C3 will be available in November and will include new advances and features such as: integration with MS365 retention labels, integration of the C3 classifier with MS Teams and a new stand-alone Web application for the C3 classifier.
